Elyse's recently catered my small wedding along the Satsop River, about an hour from Olympia.
Elyse's staff helped with planning, patiently asking all the right questions about the space, location and how we envisioned the event. They gave really helpful professional suggestion any time I got stuck. The wedding ended up being perfect. We LOVED having Elyse's there. They did such a good job gauging the situation, figuring out how to help, and then jumping in to make everything happen.
Chairs for the ceremony were set up just right, and then seemed to move magically over to the tables without a lot of fuss in time for dinner. Elyse's staff brought chairs, tables, linens and set everything beautifully with the antique dishes and glasses we provided. When we got busy and forgot the appetizers, Elyse's popped into the kitchen, found our appetizers in the fridge, found appropriate dishes, organized everything in a lovely display, found a good spot to put it and delighted everyone. They helped us beat the rain by bringing the food back 30 minutes early and made sure that everything was set up, served, cleaned and put away on time. They opened wine bottles for us when we had forgotten to grab a corkscrew, chatted with the kids and kept smiles on their faces the whole time.
Minute by minute, Elyse's figured out what we needed and delivered more than we expected.
I heard so many comments about how excellent they were.
I also heard a lot about the quality of the food. "Best food I've ever had at a wedding." "Perfect meal." "Incredible dinner." (We had shrimp lettuce wraps, peanut crusted chicken and pad thai) Many of our guests were from France and had never attended an American wedding before. They were totally delighted with the whole thing, including the food.
I had never sampled any of Elyse's food and just crossed my fingers that everything would be OK. They stunned us with their awesomeness. Thank you, Elyse's! It was worth every penny.
